Pre-conference workshop: Empowering Early Academic Careers: Innovative Teaching Strategies and K-12 Outreach

Glendale, Arizona

Sunday, June 8, 2025

Teaching is one of the primary functions of a professor. However, we generally receive relatively little training or support for our teaching. This workshop seeks to provide attendees with strategies and suggestions to improve teaching, including how to become a more effective instructor, how to better integrate teaching and research, and time management strategies for instructors. Please join an esteemed group of seasoned and new professors who are excited to share their experiences with you!

This workshop will be presented in two parts:

Part 1: Innovative Teaching Strategies | 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Part 2: K-12 Outreach Strategies | 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
